Grilled Cheese & Co closed at 1036 Light St. in Federal Hill. The company posted the following to its Facebook page:
Regretfully, after more than 7 wonderful years, Grilled Cheese & Co in Federal Hill will be closing its doors on Sunday, August 26. We are very grateful to everyone who has supported us and the friendships that we have forged. We also appreciate your loyalty as we encourage you to visit our other locations in Catonsville, Columbia Mall and The Village in Waugh Chapel. Thank you once again for your understanding and support.

The space was once the Arundel Meat Market. It was also the home of Dangerously Delicious Pies, which relocated to Canton, prior to Grilled Cheese and Co.
SouthBMore.com does not have any information on the future use or plans for the space at this time.
In 2018, available restaurant spaces on the 1000 block of S. Charles St. in Federal Hill have not stayed vacant for prolonged periods. Urban Deli replaced Wok & Roll, Diablo Doughnuts replaced Felici Cafe, and Poké Bowl will open soon in the former home of Subway.
