In partnership with the Department of General Services, the Baltimore City Fire Department (BCFD) has begun renovating the former Truck 6 building at 1227 S. Hanover St. BCFD is proposing the station will have two medic units vehicles and an EMS officer.
A spokesperson for BCFD told SouthBMore.com: “At this time, no further information is available and everything is in the preliminary stages. We hope to have more information within the near future to share with the entire community.”
The station has been used in a limited capacity in recent years.
The South Baltimore Peninsula currently has three active fire stations.
