Traffic Modifications for the Run to Remember

The Baltimore City Department of Transportation would like to advise motorists that temporary traffic modifications will be in effect this Sunday for the Run to Remember 11K/5K/1 Mile Fun Run & Walk.  The event will begin on Pratt Street in front of the World Trade Center at 8:46 a.m. on Sunday, September 08, 2019. 

The 5K course will begin on Pratt Street at the intersection of Commerce Street.  Participants will proceed west on Pratt Street in the far left lanes, left onto to Light Street, left on Key Highway, right on Webster Street, and right on E. Randall Street.  The course proceeds left on Johnson Street, right on E. Wells Street, right on Light Street and right on E. Fort Avenue.  Participants will turn left on Williams Street, right on Warren Avenue, and left into Federal Hill Park where they will finish the race.

The 11K race will also will begin on Pratt Street at the intersection of Commerce Street.  Participants will proceed west on Pratt Street in the far left lanes, left onto to Light Street, left on Key Highway, right on Webster Street, and left on Fort Avenue into Fort McHenry.  Runners will loop inside Ft. McHenry, then exit onto Fort Avenue and turn left on Andre Street to the turn-around point before the train tracks.  The course proceeds left on Fort Avenue, left on Decatur Street, left into the bus loop in front of Francis Scott Key Elementary School, right back onto Decatur, and left back onto Fort Avenue.  Runners will turn left on Webster Street, right on E. Randall Street, left on Johnson Street, right on E. Wells Street, right on Light Street and right on W. Fort Avenue.  The course proceeds left on William Street and right on Warren Street to finish in Federal Hill Park.

In preparation for this event, one lane of travel will be coned off for participants along the race route wherever possible.  Commuters should be advised that temporary traffic stops will occur along the race route for the safety of participants.

Traffic and pedestrians will be allowed to cross through periodic breaks in the race at various intersections throughout the morning.  The Baltimore City Police and Transportation Enforcement Officers will be stationed along the race route to help facilitate the movement of traffic.  Motorists traveling in the vicinity of the run should allow additional travel time in anticipation of this event and be on the watch for pedestrians.  The use of alternate routes is strongly encouraged to avoid delays.
