Baltimore Lash Bar Opening This Week in Federal Hill

Baltimore Lash Bar will open this week at 1005 S. Charles St. in Federal Hill. The 600 sq. ft. space is at the former home of Thistle Butter Collective and That’s The Point Needlecrafts.

Baltimore Lash Bar, which applies eyelash extensions,  is the second location for owner Amy Greenwood, who opened Bel Air Lash Bar last summer.

With appointments fully booked most days at the Bel Air location, Greenwood began eyeing Federal Hill for her second location. She is a former resident of the neighborhood and used to get eyelash extensions at the recently-closed Baltimore Spa and Salon at the Ritz-Carlton Residences in Federal Hill.

Greenwood focused on finding a location in Federal Hill because of the amount of young professional women she always saw in the area.

She found the retail space on Craigslist and did some light renovations to the space, including painting, updating the bathroom, and adding signs to the large storefront windows.

Getting a full set of eyelashes takes about two hours and costs $299, however Federal Hill Lash Bar will be offering specials the first month it is open. The lash extensions last up to 60 days, as eyelashes naturally shed, but Baltimore Lash Bar offers “fills” every two and three weeks. Fills take about 40 minutes to apply and start at $60.

Greenwood told SouthBMore.com that lash extensions are a “huge time saver” that prevents the application of mascara and other makeup.

Baltimore Lash Bar will be open everyday and clients must make an appointment.

Jen Dunn will join Greenwood in the Federal Hill location as the manager and an eyelash technician.
