Baltimore City Offering Amnesty from Parking Citation Penalties Today and Tomorrow

City of Baltimore Announcement:

On February 1 and 2, 2018, the City will offer a 2-day Parking Amnesty from the payment of penalties associated with unpaid parking citations. To qualify, the full original fine amount must be paid. An amnesty notice will be mailed in mid-January to all eligible motorists. If the original fine amount is paid, all accumulated monthly penalty charges and the City’s $25 flag fee will be waived. Fees for bad checks, towing, booting, and storage of impounded vehicles; State flag fees; and court costs will not be waived. Motorists will be able to pay online, by phone, by mail, or in-person at the Wolman Building, 200 N. Holliday St. We expect long lines at the Wolman Building so we recommend motorists pay online, by phone, or by mail. We will not accept any personal or business checks. For online and phone payments, we will only accept credit cards and bank account transfers made on February 1st or 2nd. By mail, we will only accept money orders, certified checks, and cashier’s checks. Mailed payments must be postmarked February 1st or 2nd. We will only accept cash, money orders, certified checks, cashier’s checks, and credit cards in person at the Wolman Building. You will also need to bring the stub from the amnesty notice.
