Two New Baltimore Bike Share Stations Added to Federal Hill

Baltimore Bike Share has added two stations in Federal Hill. The stations are at Ostend St. and Light St., and S. Charles St. and Fort Ave. The two new stations join two existing stations on the South Baltimore Peninsula, including one at McHenry Row in Locust Point and one outside the Cross Street Market in Federal Hill, which is one of Baltimore Bike Share’s three busiest stations.

The new station at Ostend St. and Light St. has nine bike docks and the station at S. Charles St. and Fort Ave. has six bike docks. Other stations in South Baltimore include Camden Yards, Baltimore Visitor Center at the Inner Harbor, University of Maryland BioPark, and Hollins Market. Two stations are planned for Pigtown.

Baltimore Bike Share was shut down for a month this fall due to widespread thefts. New locking systems were designed and installed for the stations and the bikes received upgraded GPS systems.
