Richmond American Homes Launches Second Baltimore Community
Richmond American Homes (RAH), the developers of Federal Place II in Federal Hill, launched its second Baltimore community in Hampden. Called Hampden Square, the development features 2,000 sq. ft.-plus new construction townhomes with two-car garages, up to five bedrooms, and four-and-a-half bathrooms. The homes start at $369,990 and first move-ins are available in February.
South Baltimore Resident Evan Washburn Selected for Super Bowl Broadcast
Locust Point resident and Annapolis native Evan Washburn has been selected as a sideline reporter for the CBS Super Bowl 50 broadcast. He tweeted the following about the opportunity:

Along with the NFL on CBS, Washburn does college basketball reporting for CBS, including last year’s NCAA Tournament. He is also a college lacrosse analyst and a former University of Delaware lacrosse player.

Massage Therapy Studio Opens in Federal Hill
Rachel Costello, a former owner of Federal Hill’s Apothecary Wellness, opened a new private practice at 1047 S. Charles St. at the former home of Weave Palace, which relocated across the street. Costello specializes in post-surgical, pre-natal, and injury rehab massage therapy and has been practicing in Federal Hill since 2007.
ZeroFox to Relocate to Pabst Castle
SouthBMore.com has been covering the redevelopment of the Pabst Castle at 1838 S. Charles St. in South Baltimore into office space and Federal Hill cybersecurity company ZeroFox has been revealed as the tenant by The Baltimore Sun. From the article:
ZeroFOX’s renovation plans, drawn by Fells Point architecture firm Urban Design Group, mix the buildings aged brick and wooden beams with modern steel and glass, Foster said. There will be a glass-enclosed staircase tying together six different elevations spread throughout the two-story building, he said.
Building permits also call for constructing a roof deck atop a concrete warehouse-type structure attached to the main castle-like building and converting an asphalt parking area into a landscaped courtyard. At nearly 19,000 square feet, according to state property records, it’s significantly more space than the 8,000 square feet the company currently occupies.
ZeroFox recently raised $27 million in Series B Funding and expects to double the staff size of its company, which currently sits at just under 100, in the next 12 months according to CEO James Foster. The company is expected to relocate from 1111 Light Street in the next couple of months according to the article.
Construction began at the Pabst Castle in February of last year. It was once eyed for a production brewery and brewpub by Chesapeake Craft Brewers, but opting for more space, Chesapeake recently opened Key Brewing in Dundalk.
