South Baltimore Crime Updates

According to the Baltimore Police Department (BPD)  Crime Map, the following crimes were from 3/29/23 to 4/4/23.

Ridgely’s Delight

ROBBERY – STREET, 600 S PACA ST, SUNDAY, 4/2/23, 0:00

ON 4-2-2023 AT APPROX 0025HRS, I RESPONDED TO 600 S PACA ST. VICTIM ADVISED THAT HE JUST RETURNED HOME FORM WORK AND PARKED IN THE OPEN LOT BEHIND HIS HOUSE. VICTIM ADVISED THAT WHEN HE GOT TO THE END OF HIS DRIVEWAY, 2 UNKNOWN BLACK MALES WEARING ALL DARK CLOTHING AND SKI MASK APPROACHED HIM. VICTIM ADVISED HE WAS PUSHED TO THE GROUND. WHILE (SUSPECT 1) HAD AN UNKNOWN OBJECT UNDER HIS HOODIE POINTED TOWARD HIM. ONCE ON THE GROUND, THE 2 SUBJECTS ASSAULTED VICTIM AND TOOK HIS PROPERTY. SUSEPCTS FLED IN THE VICTIM’S VEHICLE. SOUTHERN DISTRICT DETECTIVES RESPONDED TO LOCATION AND ASSUMMED THE INVESTIGATION. VICTIM WAS PROVIDED WITH VICITM ASSISTANCE INFORMATION.

ROBBERY – STREET, 1100 S CHARLES ST, WEDNESDAY, 3/29/23, 21:00

From BPD:

On March 30, 2023 at approximately 0751hrs. I spoke with victim who advised that a unidentified individual broke into his vehicle while same was parked in the 1100 Covington St. While speaking to victim he advised that he parked his vehicle in the 1100 block of Covington St. on March 29, 2023 at approximately 2130hrs. and his belongings were still inside of the vehicle and when he returned to his vehicle on March 30, 2023, at approximately 0700hrs. he noticed that his eyeglasses, phone charger, and U.S. currency was missing. Victim advised that his front passenger window was damaged and that’s how entry was made into the vehicle. Victim was provide with victim assistance information.

AUTO THEFT, 1100 LIGHT ST, THURSDAY, 3/30/23, 14:00

ON THE 31ST MAR. 2023 @ APPROX., 10:27HRS, I WAS DISPATCHED A CALL FOR SERVICE FOR A STOLEN AUTO REPORT AT THE LOCATION OF 1100 LIGHT ST. VICTIM HAD REPORTED HIS VEH STOLEN FROM THE AFOREMENTIONED LOCATION. DURING THE TIME FRAME OF 30TH – 31ST MAR 2023, BETWEEN THE HOURS OF14:00HRS TO 10:22HRS, AN UNKNOWN SUSPECT(S) HAD APPROACHED VICTIM’S VEHICLE 2022 KIA / SPORTAGE /4 DOOR SUV, SILV IN COLOR WAS PARKED, SECURRED, & UNOCCUPIED, IN THE 1100BK OF LIGHT ST. THE UNKNOWN SUSPECT(S) HAD USED AN UNK OBJECT / TOOL WITH UNK MEANS USED GAINED ACCESSED INTO THE VEH & FLED LOCATION WITH VICTIM’S VEH, IN AN UNK DIRECTION. VICTIM WAS GIVEN REPORTING INFO VIA SMS TEXT MESSAGE & VICTIM/WITNESS SERVICE LINK & ADVISED.

AGGRAVATED ASSAULT, 1000 LIGHT ST, FRIDAY, 3/31/23, 19:00

From BPD:

On Saturday April 1st, 2023 an individual called to report an assault. The individual reported that at approximately 2330 hrs On March 31st, 2023, he was inside of 1002 Light St., Rosa’s Bar and Grill when a fight broke out inside of the establishment. Victim was escorted outside of the bar by security and felt as though he was disrespected. As the security officer walked away Victim alleged that he walked up behind him to confront about turning his back on him. Victim approached the front door of the establishment to walk back in, an unidentified bald, light complexion, heavy set black male grabbed him from his jacket and pulled him to the ground. Victim alleges that he injured his leg as a result of the fall and was about to head to the hospital. Southern District Detectives will investigate incident.

AGGRAVATED ASSAULT, 1100 S CHARLES ST, SUNDAY, 4/2/23, 1:00

On 04.03.2023 victim walked into the Southern District police station wanting to make a report about him being attacked the day prior. victim advised that he was at “The Charles” located at 1110 S Charles Street on 04.02.23. He continued by stating that he was attempting to leave the location at approximately 0115 when he was approached by one of the security guards who started pushing him for an unknown reason. When victim turned around, the security guard pushed him again and several other security guards was with him. One of the security guards kicked victim in the right knee causing him to fall down a flight of stairs. Victim could not standup due to his knee being injured. The security guards the picked him up and dragged him outside. While outside on the ground, victim was approached by several unknown females and males. For an unknown reason, the females kicked him in the face and on the side of the head. Victim advised that he did not know any of the people that attacked him. District Detectives will assume the investigation and victim assistance information provided.

From BPD:

On 03/31/2023 at approximately 2009 hours this officer responded to 1513 S Hanover St for a report of a larceny. Upon arrival this officer was met by victim who stated that someone walked into his opened garage and took a book bag that contained $1,500 in cash, and 2 key fobs. Victim stated that he forgot to secure his garage door and was left open. Victim stated that the book bag was the only item taken. No cameras in the area. 309 form was issued.
