The recent, dangerous Orbeez Challenge
Using a gel blaster, also known as an Orbeez Gun, the latest fad among teenagers urges them to “drive-by shoot” innocent bystanders. Even while Orbeez Guns are harmless in and of themselves, they can still cause harm if striking a person at high speed or land directly in a vulnerable spot like the eyes. The fact that certain gel blaster pistols look like real firearms adds to the anxiety and distress that this “trend” can provoke. If your child possesses a gel blaster gun, we strongly advise you to talk with them about the risks involved with this new fad.
Orbeez guns were used in assaults that occurred in Riverside and Locust Point on July 13th.
Fox45 did a report last night on late-night violence in Federal Hill in the middle of the street.
