Crafty Crab Coming to Downtown

Baltimore Business Journal is reporting the Crafty Crab is plotting a move to the former Uncle Lee’s restaurant space at 44 South St. in Downtown. From the article:

A banner on the outside of the 114-year-old former Farmers and Merchants National Bank property on South and Lombard streets announces the impending arrival of the Crafty Crab, a growing Florida seafood chain known for its build-your-own Low Country seafood boils. The property was home to Uncle Lee‘s, a Chinese restaurant, for 35 years.

The chain, started by Palm Bay resident Zhuang Hong Lin in 2016, has nearly 40 franchises in the mid-Atlantic and the Southeast, with locations at Eastpoint Mall in Baltimore County and at 1012 Taylor Ave. in Towson. The company’s website lists more than 20 locations “coming soon,” including the downtown location at 44 South St. and another one at 9811 York Road in Cockeysville.

The former Uncle Lee‘s building was put on the market last year by the family that owned and operated Uncle Lee‘s.
