There is currently a small sinkhole at the busy Federal Hill intersection of Light St. and Cross St. Yesterday a cone was placed over the sinkhole, but that cone later fell into it. Councilman Eric Costello posted the following update on his Facebook page:
Re: the emerging sinkhole at Light St and E Cross St, from DOT this morning:
“Please be advised that the situation has been investigated. The outcome determined that this is a BGE Failed Utility cut in which BGE has been notified to make immediate repairs and confirmed that their crew has been dispatched. Repairs will be made today.”
