Federal Hill’s Punch Leases Adjacent Storefront, Plans Expansion

Federal Hill boutique Punch, which opened 10 months ago at 1132 S. Charles St., has leased the adjacent 580 sq. ft. retail space at 1134 S. Charles St. The new space was previously one of two spaces used by MetroPCS which recently closed.

Punch will use the space for additional storage, as well as for a corporate office so it can grow its online business. Owner Cydney Vigliotti will also use this space to start planning a second Punch location somewhere in Baltimore or Washington, DC. “We can’t keep our apparel in the store,” said Vigliotti. “We sell out every week.”

Vigliotti has credited the store’s success to bringing brands like Kendra Scott and Just Black to Baltimore, as well as having affordable price points for the young professionals and families in the area.

Vigliotti, who also owns a boutique in Texas, has loved her experience opening a store in Federal Hill. She has developed a strong relationship – and collaborated – with neighborhood boutiques Brightside and Pandora’s Box, and has held photo shoots at local apartment buildings 1201 South Charles and 1111 Light Street.

When asked if Punch’s success shows that retail stores can be successful in Federal Hill she replied, “100%!”
