Cummings & Co. Opens New Key Highway Office in Federal Hill

Cummings & Co. Realtors opened a new 2,000 sq. ft. office at 201 Key Hwy. in Federal Hill. The space was previously an office for Horsetail Technologies which recently moved to Harbor East.

Cummings & Co. completed a renovation of the space with John Bolster’s South Baltimore-based New Renaissance Architects and Builders. The reality company also used Sandtown Millworks, which is co-owned by Bolster, as its furniture supplier. Both companies – New Renaissance and Sandtown Millworks – use reclaimed wood and elements in their designs. Cummings & Co. founder Dave Cummings described Bolster, who also performed renovations at the adjacent 3 Bean Coffee, as an “artist.”

Cummings signed the Key Hwy. lease in January and the renovation took several months.

The space includes 16 desks, a conference room, a break room, offices, and meeting areas. With realtors often working many hours from home, Cummings sees the office eventually being used by 30 to 40 agents. Cummings, who also has offices in Canton, Lutherville, Ruxton, and Perry Hall, said he has seven agents already living in South Baltimore. The company now has more than 190 agents total after 10 years of business.

Cummings told SouthBMore.com he eyed an office in Federal Hill because it’s where many of Cummings & Co.’s agents and clients live and because the timing was right to open a new office. He said that his company is not here to just sell a house, but to get involved in the neighborhood and the schools.

There have been many new tenants added to the 200 block of Key Hwy. in the past year which includes the addition of 3 Bean CoffeeGo2 Staffing Solutions, and a new office for State Farm Insurance.
