Great wins for Cherry Hill and Pigtown Communities after today’s inspections in these communities:

Birdland, 1100 Washington Blvd issued a Cease and Desist order from Fire/Health departments

New Mart, 1184 Washington Blvd was shut down by the Health department

Bob’s Bar, Washington Blvd was issued violations by the Fire/Housing Departments

“Goodie Truck”, 1200 Shellbanks Rd was shut down by the Health department for not having a permit

Inspections of these locations were requested by your Southern District leadership team due to overwhelming community concerns. We’re hoping to gain some reprieve with the nuisance issues like loitering, we were experiencing around these businesses with their closures. This demonstrates the great collaboration with all city agency’s working together to make our communities safer and healthier. Please note we will continue to conduct enforcement and investigations in these areas to keep these businesses closed…
