Lock N’ Key Escape Room closed at 1118 Light St., Unit B in Federal Hill. The business opened in 2016. Its former first-floor space will now be filled by an accounting firm.
The ownership team, which has stayed partially anonymous due to their other careers, released the following statement to SouthBMore.com:
The business was going well but we are relocating for work so couldn’t do both! So it is time to shut the doors at Lock N Key. It’s been an incredible ride in the community for the last three years. It was so much fun to put smiles on so many faces from families to our corporate clients.
We had people from all over the country walk through our doors. The best part, they came up and explored Federal Hill, one of the greatest neighborhoods in one of the greatest cities!
Thanks to our staff for truly making our business shine! Thank you to everyone who played!
The owners were in the process of selling the business to keep it at that location but ran out of time on their lease. They noted that Lock N’ Key could appear in another community for the long term.
