The bar and restaurant space for Das Bier Haus, which closed for business at the end of 2018, is now available for lease. The space is located at 1542 Light St. in South Baltimore.
Sam Reznitsky is one of the owners of the assets of the business, the three-story building, and the liquor license, but leased them to the operator of Das Bier Haus. He said it is a turn-key space and he is talking to other German beer hall operators from around the country about taking over the business. He began marketing the space at the beginning of February. He also said Das Bier Haus was a successful concept and a thriving business in the space before closing for other reasons.
1542 Light St. is a 7,500 sq. ft. building with two finished floors that each have bar and dining space. Reznitsky said the third floor is currently an office and lounge area and can potentially be converted to additional dining space. The first two floors include furniture, fixtures, and kitchen equipment. The building also has outdoor seating.
Reznitsky said the price and terms of a lease are negotiable.
