On Monday night, a public safety walk started at Riverside Park and ended at Digital Harbor High School where a public safety forum was held. The walk stopped on the 1200 block of Riverside Ave. in Federal Hill where Timothy Moriconi was shot and killed last Thursday. Led by Pastor Brian Zimmerman, participants said a prayer for Moriconi and all the victims of Baltimore City violence.
Baltimore City Mayor Catherine Pugh was in attendance at the public safety walk but was not able to stay for the forum. At the walk and taking questions at the forum was Baltimore City State’s Attorney Marilyn Mosby, Baltimore Police Department (BPD) Commissioner Gary Tuggle, Southern District Commander Major Monique Brown, Councilman Eric Costello, and the District 46 representation of Delegate Luke Clippinger, Delegate Robbyn Lewis, Delegate Brooke Lierman, and Senator Bill Ferguson.
The safety walk and forum was attended by hundreds of South Baltimore residents. The forum was moderated by Councilman Costello.
