There is a number of newly-vacant storefronts on S. Charles St. in Federal Hill. Below are details.
828 S. Charles St.
Plantacea closed earlier this month at 828 S. Charles St. and is promising to open a new location. Owner Lisa Heckman posted the following to Instagram:
What I thought would take a couple of weeks, to sell inventory not coming with me, took essentially only one day! I didn’t see that coming! Thank you from the bottom of my heart for making it such an amazing and memorable day. I was reminded of just how many people have walked through these doors and have made an imprint on my journey. I cannot wait to share Plantacea 2.0 with you 💚
There are just a few plants and a few pots left. I will be open tomorrow, Sunday, for people picking up larger items they purchased. Feel free to stop by to check out what is left.
Next week starts the packing and cleaning 😟 I’ll bring up a million nursery pots and other items for giveaway and my door will be open.
Until we meet again, look for IG updates on my location and re-opening!
xx,
Lisa
The space now has a ‘for rent’ sign in the window.
906 S. Charles St.
Glow To Go Skin Bar recently closed at 906 S. Charles St. The storefront currently has a ‘for rent’ sign in the window.
910 S. Charles St.
Sugar Boats Goods closed yesterday at 910 S. Charles St. Owner Joyce Lombardi posted the following to social media on February 12th:
Well, my dear Sugar Boaters. The time has come. We aren’t renewing our lease. 🙁 That means all of our sustainable local goods, (plus tables, lamps, chairs and everything else) is 50 percent off, starting Saturday February 18th. But fear not. Carla @phinasfinelinens will carry some of our items so stay tuned!
As for me, I’m returning from whence I came: full time lobbying on violence and energy issues.
I loved it here, you all are tremendous. But I can’t do both. So come in please and help me wind down our lovely spot. 💙💛 we will be open Saturdays 12-5 through mid-March.
The space is now vacant.

Upholster Maurice House of Art has left its storefront at 912 S. Charles St. and relocated to 1100 Wicomico St. Suite 415 in Pigtown. The space is now vacant.
1005 S. Charles St.
Last year, Baltimore Lash Bar relocated from 1005 S. Charles St. to 8 W. West St. The company posted the following to Facebook on May 1, 2022:
Our Baltimore location has moved to a new spot!
Thank you for being patient with us during this transition.
As most of you know, our landlord in Baltimore sold the building. Here’s the good news: our new Federal Hill location is only two blocks away from our original address AND it has free 2 hour street parking or a garage 1 block away.
Our new address is 8. West West Street, Baltimore, MD 21230.
We are above Marren Architects. Come in the door and up the steps to the left. Our door is at the top of the steps on the right!
We will have better atmosphere, a more beautiful space and lots more room!
We can’t wait for you to join us. Please call the lash bar or text your tech if you have any questions or cannot find us.
As always, remember, if you refer a new client and they use your name, you will get 35% off your next fill!
The company also has locations in Bel Air and Severna Park.
