South Baltimore Crime Updates

From Riverside Neighborhood Association:

CRIME ALERT:
Two events occurred overnight within Riverside and in close proximity to one another around the same time. As you review the details below provided by the Baltimore Police Department- Southern District, please also review the tips from the Baltimore Police Department.

Incident 1: On Friday February 10th, 2023, at about 1:03AM, police responded to 1500 Block of Stack Street for report of attempted robbery. Upon arrival, police spoke with both victims. Victim #1 and Victim #2 advised that (2) two unknown black males, medium build, wearing dark face masks attempted to rob them. Victim advised she observed a group of males on bikes at end of her street. Victim #1 then advised that they called Victim #2 to come meet them outside as they got out of vehicle and walked to their home. Victim #1 exited the vehicle and began to walk towards the house. Two suspects got off their bikes and attempted to force the door open to the residence. Victim #2 held the door closed and called the police. Victim#1 and Victim#2 were not injured.

Incident 2: On 10 February 2023, at approximately 1:15AM, police responded to 800 Block of E. Fort Ave. for report of an Un-armed Robbery. Upon arrival, police met with victim who advised the following. They parked their vehicle a few doors down from their residence and begin walking home. Victim was approached by three black male juveniles, approx age 18-22 wearing dark clothing, who confronted them on the sidewalk. Suspect #1 order property from the victim. Subsequently, suspect #1 reached into victim pocket and removed vehicle keys. All three suspects proceeded to enter victim vehicle and fled the area.

From BPD:

On February 05, 2023, at approximately 0157 hours I responded to 200 North Calvert St in reference to an unarmed robbery that took place at 1118 S. Charles St. Victim was having a conversation with members of another group outside of 1118 S. Charles St when an unknown male of the group took offense to something that was said. The male proceeded to attack victim with his hands, during the course of the attack the unknown male grabbed victims purse containing her wallet and keys and ran in an unknown direction on foot. Victim declined medical attention. District Detective Unit assumed the investigation.

From BPD:

On Tuesday, February 7 at approx. 0145 hrs, victim advised he was walking in the 1500 block of Ridgley when the male came over to him and told him to give him his money. Suspect said “give me some of that money” and attempted to grab victim. The victim fled the location and approached the police standing in the 2000 block of Bayard Street The suspect was descripted black male riding a mountain bike wearing a blue jacket, black pants, black mask and black hat. An area canvass for the suspect with negative results. No property was taken. District Detective Unit assumed investigation.
