Buck Wild Dog Training has opened a store and studio at 1126 S. Charles St. in Federal Hill. The approximately 1,000 sq. ft. space was previously the home of Espirt de Couture.
Buck Wild Dog Training is owned by Federal Hill resident Victoria Erbe, who has worked with dogs since she was 14 years old and who started professionally training dogs six years ago. While Erbe started her own business, she has also been a trainer for Wings of Love Kuwait and K9 Concepts.
The namesake for Buck Wild Dog Training is Erbe’s beloved service dog Buck.
Erbe was working in real estate and has been the property manager of 1126. S. Charles St. When the property became available, she decided it was time to go for it and give Buck Wild Dog Training its own storefront in Federal Hill.
She wants the space to be a resource for the dog owner community in South Baltimore. Buck Wild Dog Training offers dog training sessions, provides nail trimming services, and sells healthy dog food and locally-made products and apparel for dogs. Erbe hopes dog owners will come in and ask questions. And, if Buck Wild Dog Training can’t help, Erbe said she can refer customers out to professionals who can.
Dog training comes in six- and 12-session packages, as wells as three- and four-week programs where dogs stay with Erbe most hours of the day. In addition to offering obedience training, Erbe can also train dogs to be emotional support dogs, therapy dogs, PTSD dogs, and dogs that assist Deaf people.
“Every dog deserves an amazing life, but they need obedience training to be able to go everywhere,” said Erbe.
Buck Wild Dog Training is open Monday to Saturday from 10am to 5pm.
