Capt. Brust and Sgt. Shetterly have both been in touch with some community leaders updating us on recent events in our community (Southern District – Sector 4). BPD asked that we share time/location/suspect description to see if anyone has any footage that may be helpful for detectives.

Friday 1/20/23

2. 13:24, 141 W Hamburg, Robbery (commercial)
3. 22:45, 800 E Fort Ave, Attempted Carjacking
4. 23:30, 1700 Covington St, Robbery (carjacking)

Saturday 1/21/23

1. 19:18, 1000 William St, Purse Snatching
2. 19:20, 1200 Battery Ave, Assault (aggravated)/Attempted Carjacking
3. 19:49, 1500 William St, Attempted Carjacking
4. 19:50, 500 E Randal St, Robbery (street)

Suspect descriptions vary slightly. One group is described as 2-3 black males, approximate age 10-18, all wearing dark or black face masks. Another group is described as black males with a white male, ages 15-20, also wearing face masks.

Please be aware of your surroundings especially after dark. Do not hesitate to call 911 to report suspicious activity. Also, if you have security cameras near the locations listed above please review your recorded footage for the times listed. If you have footage that may be helpful to detectives please email it directly to Capt. Burst at david.brust@baltimorepolice.org.

UPDATE: Foxtrot (BPD helicopter) Presence Over South Baltimore Peninsula

Foxtrot activity over the South Baltimore Peninsula this evening was related to BPD pursuing a suspect from an attempted robbery earlier in the evening. Suspect was apprehended at ~8:15pm and is currently in custody. No further updates at this time.

According to the Baltimore Police Department (BPD)  Crime Map, the following crimes were from 1/18/23 to 1/24/23.
