UPDATE – Homicide – Sharp Leadenhall
On May 21, 2022, at approximately 1:39 a.m., Southern District patrol officers responded to the 900 block of Peach St for a report of gunfire. Once there, officers located a 22-year-old male suffering from apparent gunshot wounds. Medics transported the victim to an area hospital where he later died.
I spoke with Southern District Major Velte this morning — BPD is actively investigating this. More info to follow and I receive an update.
From Baltimore Police Department Southern District:
On 21 May 2022, your writer, P/O C Allen of the Baltimore City Police Department Southern District Patrol, responded to 900 Peach Street, Baltimore MD 21231 for a report of a Shooting. Upon arrival, your writer observed multiple citizens surrounding an unknown black male who was laying on the ground unconscious on his back. Once your writer was able to render the scene safe, your writer observed multiple gun wounds. Your writer utilized my TAC-MED kit and began life saving measures to assist. Medic arrived on scene and took over providing medical assistance. Victim was transported to University of MD Shock Trauma. Homicide detective took over the investigation.
According to the Baltimore Police Department (BPD) Crime Map, the following crimes were from 5/11/22 to 5/17/22.

UPDATE – Firearm Discharge – Otterbein
At approximately 8:57 p.m. on Tuesday, May 17th, multiple (unknown, but at least 4) gunshots were discharged at the intersection of S Hanover St and W Lee St, between at least one vehicle at another — there are no known victims at this time. I just left the crime scene w/ Lt Adams whose officers are currently canvassing for private security footage. More info to follow.

Southern District Shooting Investigation
On May 13, 2022, at approximately 4 p.m., officers responded to the 1000 block of S. Charles Street for a shooting.
Upon arrival, officers located a 19-year-old male who was suffering from a gunshot wound to his chest, and immediately began rendering aid.
The victim was transported to a nearby hospital and is in serious condition.
Southern District shooting detectives responded and are investigating this incident.
Preliminary information revealed the victim was inside a restaurant arguing with another male (suspect) when the suspect walked out of the restaurant. A short time later, the suspect returned with a firearm and shot the victim before fleeing the location.
Anyone with information regarding this incident is asked to call detectives at 410-396-2499 or call Metro Crime Stoppers at 1-866-7lockup.

UPDATE – Shooting on 5/13 @ 4pm – Federal Hill
There was a non-fatal shooting around 4pm at Sweet Peas (1026 S Charles St). The victim was transported to a local area hospital; the suspect is still at large. I’ve spoke on scene with the Southern District Captain — the victim and shooter are known to each other. This is all of the info available at this time, I will update when more info becomes available.

Southern District Shooting Investigation
On May 12, 2022, at approximately 9:10 a.m., Southern District patrol officers responded to the 100 block of South Carrollton Avenue for a report of a shooting.
Once there, officers located an adult male suffering from an apparent gunshot wound.
The victim was transported to an area hospital with serious injuries.
Due to the victim’s condition, Homicide detectives have been notified.
