Deanna Jean Allik, who was previously a longtime South Baltimore resident and bartender at MaGerks Pub, died last Friday when a vehicle crashed into Parkville Crabs in Parkville, MD. Allik, who was 35, was a co-owner of the business.

Officers were in the area at 12:39 p.m. when a Subaru Outback that was on the parking lot drove through the glass window area at the front of the business. They immediately responded and began to attempt to aid the driver, a passenger, and one person who was inside the building when the crash occurred. The driver and passenger did not report any injuries, but the occupant of the building, who has not yet been identified, was struck by debris and pronounced deceased at the scene.
Baltimore County Police Spokesperson Jennifer Peach said the driver may have accidentally hit the gas pedal while in the parking lot, causing the car to drive through the front of the building.
Allik, who lived several blocks away on the 8100 block of Harford Road, was the co-owner of DNS Crabs, a wholesale business in Parkville. Her older sister, Lauren, said Deanna was there doing payroll, getting together everyone’s Christmas bonuses.

She was 2004 graduate of C. Milton Wright High School in Bel Air, and had been heavily involved in athletics from a young age, her sister said. In high school, she participated in cheerleading, soccer, and track and field.
“After high school, she continued to play on soccer leagues and all the recreational leagues in the city for a long time. She’d come up and be a fill-in for my rec leagues up here [in Harford County], the adult social leagues,” Lauren Allik said.
Lauren describe her sister as “tenacious,” and despite her smaller stature — Deanna was 5-foot-1 and 120 pounds, her sister said. She played mostly on several coed club soccer teams “because she likes competition.”
“While she might be little, the smallest pepper is always the hottest, right?” Lauren said.
While a member of the Lingerie Football League’s Baltimore Charm team, Allik was tackled by Barstool Sports Founder Dave Portnoy as part of a promotion. Portnoy, who has millions of followers on social media, retweeted Jimmy’s Famous Seafood after the restaurant alerted Portnoy about what happened to Allik.

Allik was also the owner and operator of wholesale business DNS Crabs (Delicious Natural Seafood).
A Meal Train has been organized for the Allik family by Carrie Holloway. The note reads:
Any meal would be a huge help through this difficult time. Mrs Pam loves chocolate, especially Baby Ruth’s and Snickers. Also don’t forget the black Sambuca and red wine!
In recent days, dedications have poured in for Allik on social media from friends and members of the Federal Hill restaurant community.
