Multiple crimes involving juveniles occurred this week in areas around the Inner Harbor.
On Tuesday night at 645pm, a female was assaulted by a large group of juveniles in front of the Maryland Science Center at 601 Light St., according to the Baltimore Police Media Relations team. The victim’s condition was described as not serious and “scratched up.” According to a witness, the incident was stopped by two male tourists from Buffalo, NY who were walking by.
Later Tuesday night at 820pm, an assault and robbery took place on the 100 block of W. Conway St. From Baltimore Police Department Southern District Commander Major Brian Hance:
On February 21, 2017 approximately 8:20 PM, officers responded to a report of a assault and robbery in the Central District on the 100 block of W. Conway St. This incident is near the border of the Southern District. The victim was punched by the suspect and took the victim’s property. Southern District officers and MTA Police searched for the suspect and located him at N. Eutaw and Fayette St. The victim positively identified the 17 year old male whom was taken into custody for robbery.
Last night, Baltimore Police received a call for juveniles chasing and harassing customers leaving the Rusty Scupper around 715pm.
Additionally, this past Sunday night at 9pm, a robbery with a knife occurred on the 900 block of Valenica Ct. in the HarborView neighborhood of Federal Hill, according the Baltimore Police Crime Map. It was not specified if juveniles were involved.
