A home on top of the piers in the HarborView community in Federal Hill sold for $6.25 million on February 10th. The 9,069 sq. ft. townhome, which has been featured on SouthBMore.com’s Million Dollar Monday twice, is located at 622 North Ponte Villas (Unit 162/163). The home has been on and off the market since 2013, and has been listed as high as $8.5 million. It was previously owned by late real estate developer and Merritt Athletic Club founder Leroy Merritt who passed away in 2010.
From Baltimore Business Journal:
The buyer is an unnamed “West Coast celebrity,” said Charlie Hatter owner of Monument Sotheby’s International Realty, which brokered the deal.
It was most recently rented by Oriole third baseman Manny Machado.
The property was described as “Baltimore’s most extraordinary home” in a previous listing and features five levels, six bedrooms, seven full- and three half-bathrooms, an elevator, a sauna, a home theatre, multiple verandas, a four-car garage, and a 75 ft. rooftop deck that overlooks the Inner Harbor, Fells Point, Downtown, and Federal Hill.
Located nearby, the late Tom Clancy’s 12,000 sq. ft. The Ritz-Carlton Residences condominium in Federal Hill was listed in November 2015 for $12 million.
