Join your fellow Interior Designers, students and educators from across Maryland for a combination Panel Discussion / Town Hall meeting to talk about our industry as a whole.
Our profession has many practitioners with varying specialties and separate professional organizations that cater to those specialties. While all of these organizations have benefits, they also fracture our professional community.
5:30pm-6:00pm Arrival/Networking
6:00pm Program Start
We have asked representatives from professional organizations to join us as well as student and educator representatives. These ‘People in the Know’ will help answer questions or facilitate the discussion with their knowledge and experience but we’re hoping you will participate in the discussion as well.
People in the Know:
- Brian Thim, Chair, MDCID
- Kristy Wallace, AACC ASID Student Chapter President
- Kirsten Gable, VP Communications, NKBA
- Laura Kimball, CCBC Interior Design Program Coordinator
- Heather Flannery, Advocacy Chair, IIDA
Join us for this opportunity to come together across disciplines to discuss the issues and concerns that affect us as a professional community and learn about the concerns of those outside your discipline. Come with a question or submit one beforehand using #IDinMD on social media or simply come to listen and learn and meet your fellow designers.
Parking is free and plentiful. Drinks and small snacks will be available. Alcoholic beverages will be served at this event. You must be 21 years of age to consume alcoholic beverages. By registering for this event, it is expressly understood that the Organizer(s) assume no responsibility for any occurrence from or related to alcoholic consumption.
