Inner Harbor Apartment Tower Gets Financing
Construction will start soon on South Baltimore’s largest new apartment tower as financing was secured for the 44-story, 394-unit apartment tower at 414 Light St. adjacent to Otterbein and the Inner Harbor. Questar properties will be receiving a $107.28 million loan for the project from Citizens Bank.
“The Citizens Commercial Real Estate Finance team has been a great partner on this transformative project,” said Stephen Gorn, president of Questar Properties, in a press release. “They bring great ideas, a wealth of experience in the market and are able to execute transactions successfully.”
The project will have 12,000 sq. ft. of first floor retail as well as parking for approximately 550 cars.

Bagel Pop-Up Coming to Cross Street
Bottoms Up Bagels will open a pop-up shop at Pixilated’s space at 46 E. Cross St. in Federal Hill from February 22nd to February 28th. It will offer bagels, lox, spreads, sandwiches, and daily specials. It will be open each day from 7am to3pm.
Sagamore Invests in Watch Company
Kevin Plank’s Sagamore Venture’s LLC, based at City Garage in Port Covington, announced a partnership with Towson-based Towson Watch Co. (TWC). From a press release:
Towson Watch Co. LLP, founded in 2000, designs and manufactures limited series timepieces crafted personally for the customer. The company was founded by George Thomas and Hartwig Balke, master watchmakers who first met by chance while making sailors’ small talk at an Irish pub in Annapolis.
“With this investment in the Towson Watch Company, we are excited to help raise the profile of a local manufacturer,” said Tom Geddes, managing partner of Plank Industries. “Working with George and Hartwig, we hope to grow the business and create new local jobs over time, while maintaining the high quality standards set by the founders.”
At this time, TWC is not expected to make a move to South Baltimore.
