Southern District Attempted Murder Arrest

In reference to the shooting that occurred on August 29, 2022, of a 66-year-old male, investigators have arrested 62-year-old Bobby Trujillo of Baltimore.

Trujillo was arrested on August 29, 2022, in the 1600 block of Light Street, following a barricade.

Officers transported Bobby Trujillo to Central Booking Intake Facility where he has been charged with attempted 2nd degree murder.

Southern District Shooting Investigation

On August 29, 2022, at approximately 9:04 a.m., Southern District patrol officers responded to the 1600 block of a Light Street for a report of a shooting.

Once there, officers located a 66-year-old male suffering from an apparent gunshot wound to the leg.

The victim was transported to an area hospital for treatment.

Preliminary investigation revealed that the victim was involved in a dispute with the suspect, an adult male, who produced a gun and shot the victim.

The suspect then barricaded himself inside of the location.

Currently, SWAT and negotiators are on the scene.

This is an active and ongoing investigation. More information will disseminated once available.

The Media Staging area is located at the intersection of Light and E. Wells Streets.

Southern District Shooting Investigation

On August 29, 2022, at approximately 11:30 p.m., Southern District patrol officers responded to the 1200 block of James Street to investigate shot spotter alerts.

Once at the location, officers located two 40-year-old male victims suffering multiple gunshot wounds to the lower extremities. Medic transported the victims to an area hospital with non-life-threatening injuries.

Southern District Shooting detectives responded to the scene and assumed control over the investigation. Anyone with information is urged to contact Southern District Shooting detectives at 410-396-2499.
