Southrn’ Spice has closed at Cross Street Market after just a few months in Federal Hill. Southern’ Spice still has a food truck and catering business.
Owner and Chef Rex Murray told SouthBMore.com that he and the Cross Street Market management decided to mutually go separate ways.
Southern’ Spice was the second operator of the stall. It replaced Royal Farm Chicken which closed in March.
The closing of Southrn’ Spice is the latest shuffle at the revamped Cross Street Market which reopened in 2019 after renovations. Recent closures at Cross Street Market include Annoula’s Greek Kitchen, Ono Poké, Phubs, Rice Crook, Rooster & Hen, Royal Farms Chicken, and now Southrn’ Spice.
New additions in recent months are Blowfish Poke, Watershed, Atlas Fish Market, and Crepe Crazy. A Korean fried chicken concept called The Chicken Lab is close to opening at the former Rice Crook space.
