The former 2,893 sq. ft. home of American Apparel at 1125 Light St. in Federal Hill will soon become The Wireless Center, which is a Verizon Premium Retailer. All American Apparel locations closed in 2017 after the company was acquired in a bankruptcy sale. The Wireless Center is an Ohio-based company.
The Wireless Center will have an approximately 1,100 sq. ft. showroom with the remaining space dedicated to offices and back-of-the-house operations. Renovations are currently underway to and include new walls and flooring.
An exact opening date has not yet been announced for The Wireless Center.
“Federal Hill is a dynamic neighborhood that fits the demographics of The Wireless Center, and we’re excited we could bring a well-known brand to Federal Hill’s Main Street,” said CJ Koluch of MacKenzie Retail, LLC which represented the landlord along with Henry Deford. “At MacKenzie, our focus is on adding real, long-term value to the spaces and neighborhoods we represent. We live here, we work here, and we’re committed to our communities.”
The Wireless Center was represented by Laura Williams of MacKenzie Retail, LLC.
