Mi & Yu Opens in Mount Vernon
Federal Hill’s Mi & Yu Noodle Bar opened its second location at Mount Vernon Marketplace. It occupies a 800 sq. ft. space towards to back of the market and has 40 dedicated seats between a bar and high-top tables, which is double the seating of its Federal Hill location. The market also has common seating.

New BGE Video Highlights Murals
BGE produced a video documenting the addition of large murals to its storage tanks in South Baltimore. The three murals highlight blue crabs, thoroughbred horse racing, and the Star Spangled Banner.
Baltimore Museum of Industry Adds Phillips Icon
With the help of local businesses, Baltimore Museum of Industry (BMI) recently added a neon crab from the former Phillips headquarters in Locust Point. From BMI’s Facebook page:
The crab is back in South Baltimore! You may remember the neon crabs scurrying out of a can and up a smokestack on the Phillips Seafood world headquarters located on Fort Avenue. After the building was sold, Mark Sapperstein of 28 Walker Associates LLC donated one of the crabs, created by Ashton Design, to the Baltimore Museum of Industry. Gable, A Visual Solutions Company and North American Electric installed it this week, just in time for the BMI Crab Feast on Thursday [last week].
Uber Eats Launches in South Baltimore
More delivery food options are now available for South Baltimore residents as Uber Eats recently launched. Uber Eats has partnered with local restaurants such as Grilled Cheese & Co., Primo Chicken, Urban Deli, Regi’s American Bistro, The Local Fry, HomeSlyce, Grano Pasta Bar, Nick’s Famous Rotisserie Chicken, Encantada, Brewer’s Cask, and Afters Cafe.

Kevin Plank’s Cupid Foundation Donates to Baltimore Catholic Schools
On September 7th, Under Armour Founder and CEO Kevin Plank’s Cupid Foundation announced a $1 million donation to Partners in Excellence (PIE), the Archdiocese of Baltimore’s scholarship program for elementary and high school students in Baltimore City. From The Catholic Review:
“Kevin Plank likes tried-and-tested programs that work,” Geddes said. “Education is how the cycle of poverty is broken, and (with the gift) as many as 100 children could get a chance they would not have otherwise.”Over the past 20 years, PIE has awarded more than 25,000 scholarships, worth more than $29 million, to children from low-income families. PIE scholars have a 95 percent attendance rate, higher than the Catholic school average.
