UPDATE – Homicide – Sharp Leadenhall

On May 21, 2022, at approximately 1:39 a.m., Southern District patrol officers responded to the 900 block of Peach St for a report of gunfire. Once there, officers located a 22-year-old male suffering from apparent gunshot wounds. Medics transported the victim to an area hospital where he later died.

I spoke with Southern District Major Velte this morning — BPD is actively investigating this. More info to follow and I receive an update.

On 21 May 2022, your writer, P/O C Allen of the Baltimore City Police Department Southern District Patrol, responded to 900 Peach Street, Baltimore MD 21231 for a report of a Shooting. Upon arrival, your writer observed multiple citizens surrounding an unknown black male who was laying on the ground unconscious on his back. Once your writer was able to render the scene safe, your writer observed multiple gun wounds. Your writer utilized my TAC-MED kit and began life saving measures to assist. Medic arrived on scene and took over providing medical assistance. Victim was transported to University of MD Shock Trauma. Homicide detective took over the investigation.

‘Cross Street Community Social’ Every Wednesday in Federal Hill

Cross Street Farmers Market Now on Sundays, Returns This Weekend with New Lineup

The Cross Street Farmers’ Market is now on Sundays and returns this weekend from 10am-2pm. It will run every Sunday until October 16th. It takes place on the southside of Cross Street Market on the unit block of E. Cross St.

A spokesperson for the Atlas Restaurant Group told SouthBMore.com the farmers’ market “will have a live DJ each week to get the Sunday Funday started early. Guests will be able to purchase drinks inside the market and drink them outside within the market’s footprint.”

Cross Street Farmers’ Market will be run by Merritt Dworkin, who also runs the Fell’s Point Farmers’ Market and the B&O Farmers Market.

More vendors will be added, but this is the current lineup:

Google Maps just updated its ‘satellite’ view of Baltimore City. This new view depicts overhead shots which appear to be from Fall 2021.
